Tony DeMartino

Tony brings extensive experience in emerging technologies, strategic planning, and national security operations to his role supporting strategy and operational planning for government clients at Xiphos. He works closely with senior leaders across the defense and intelligence communities, helping them navigate complex organizational challenges, strengthen mission execution, and integrate innovative capabilities into ongoing operations. 

 

Prior to Xiphos, Tony was a founding partner at Pallas Advisors. He also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense and as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Defense, where he led initiatives focused on technology adoption and institutional reform. He served more than 25 years as a U.S. Army officer, including over five years deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and held senior staff and intelligence positions across the national security enterprise. 

 

Tony is on the Board of Advisors for Morpheus Space, a leader in electric propulsion systems; serves on the board of UV Angel, a company specializing in ultraviolet light technology; and serves on the Science Advisory board for Washington and Lee University; as well as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for New American Security.
